Maps: Campus maps are available here:  https://www.ualberta.ca/maps  – the conference is on the “North Campus.”

Directions: Campus is well served by transit.  Several bus routes stop at the University Transit Station close to the Education North and South buildings.  Edmonton’s rail system (“The LRT”) also stops at University Transit Station. Both LRT lines (the Capital Line and Metro Line) service the university.

There are also a range of parking lots (full information is here: https://www.ualberta.ca/parking-services/visitor-and-event-parking/rates). Close lots include “Lot U” (surface parking) at $15/day and “Education Car Park” (parking garage) at $16/day.

Lunch: In order to provide a cost free event to attendees, lunch will not be provided.  There are several options both on and off campus for lunch.  Hub Mall has a wide variety of eateries; however, many may be closed during August. A complete list of Hub Mall options is available here: https://www.ualberta.ca/vice-president-facilities-operations/service-catalogue/commercial-leasing/hub-mall-and-newton-place-directory

There are also on campus options at the Students’ Union Building (SUB).  A complete list is available here: https://www.su.ualberta.ca/about/sub/

Within a short walking distance there are many eateries on/near 109 St.  Options include The High Level Diner, The Sugar Bowl, Rosso, Remedy Cafe, Upper Crust (among others).  Off campus options tend to be ‘sit-down’ restaurants and more expensive.  Participants should have enough time to walk to the 109 St. area, eat, and return within an hour.
